Do I need to install a home charger?
ANSWER:
Level 1 home charging requires no special equipment, just a standard 120-volt home outlet. It offers the slowest charging cycle compared to dedicated charging equipment adding about 2-5 miles of range for each hour of charging - great for a top-up instead of a fast, full recharge. Nissan EVs can also Level 2 charge using its available portable charging cable and a 240V outlet. There are also over 200,000 public chargers across the country. Hit the arrow to learn more.
Do EVs require less routine maintenance?
ANSWER: EVs do not have starters, fuel pumps and exhaust systems, so drivers don't have to worry about these components wearing out over time.
What comes with the Nissan EV battery warranty?
ANSWER:
The batteries in the Nissan LEAF and ARIYA come with 8‑year/100,000‑mile (whichever occurs first) lithium-ion battery coverage.
How do you charge an electric car?
ANSWER:
Powering up an EV is a straightforward, simple process. Just plug it in, and it will know when it is charged up. There are a few different types of connectors used on EVs, and Nissan vehicles are equipped with either a CHAdeMO, a Combined Charging System (CCS), or NACS port. Please refer to your vehicle's owner's manual to learn more about its charging system.
LEAF and ARIYA owners with vehicles equipped with the Combined Charging System (CCS) can now use a Nissan-provided North American Charging Standard (NACS) adapter kit to access more public chargers than ever. This includes over 20,000 high-speed Tesla Superchargers – alongside thousands of additional public charging locations – all available through the NISSAN ENERGY Charge Network, a streamlined system that helps drivers locate and activate compatible chargers using the MyNISSAN app.
